I design training people actually remember.

Instructional designer and corporate trainer in credit union L&D. I also shoot and cut the video, and I build the AI tools that make the work faster. Based in Massachusetts, open to remote.

The short version

Trainer and instructional designer since 2020
In Learning and Organizational Development at Digital Federal Credit Union, now First Tech Federal Credit Union after the merger. Two years leading contact center teams before that.
1,158 people trained
New hires and upskilled employees over six years, as one of four core facilitators on a six-person team, in virtual and live classrooms.
20+ subject matter experts
Across seven departments, from storyboard sign-off to launch.
ATD and Bob Pike certified
ATD Instructional Design Certificate, and Bob Pike Group certified trainer.
2026 Pinnacle Award
For coaching peers and fellow trainers on AI tools, before anyone asked me to.
A decade-plus leading retail teams
Dick’s Sporting Goods and Cabela’s, up to 220 people on one sales floor. Most of training is still the job I learned there: getting a new person ready fast.

Work

Phone system rollout: 7 courses and 7 videos in 10 days

Solo design and buildRise, Storyline, Camtasia

The organization was switching phone systems and everyone who takes calls needed to be ready on cutover day. I had ten days and no help. I scoped it by role, paired every short course with a screen-recorded video, and launched before cutover.

In production: a branching fraud-call scenario in Storyline and a de-escalation course in Rise, both for a fictional credit union.

Video and AI

Video

I ran GeeYouEss Productions for eleven years, shooting marketing, corporate training and events, including aerial work as an FAA Part 107 pilot. At work I’m the person people bring video projects to, from Camtasia walkthroughs to animated explainers in Vyond.

These days I make mower repair and lawn care shorts for 162K followers on TikTok. One recent short passed 150,000 views. It’s the same craft as training video: a hook, one idea, and a cut that respects the viewer’s time.

AI and tools

I build with AI every day, and the Pinnacle Award came from teaching other trainers to do the same.

  • The whole back office for my lawn care business: client records, scheduling, Stripe invoicing, a customer portal, an AI phone answering service and an iPhone field app.
  • Two iPhone apps on the App Store: Ready Set Eat, a meal planner my family uses every week, and B&A Compare, a before-and-after photo tool.

For a training team, that means a job aid, a practice simulator or a video workflow can be a prototype by the afternoon.
